• Stress Symptoms You May Be Missing That Effects Your Health.




    If you were to put a frog in a pot of water and heat the water; the frog will adjust as the temperature of the water increases. The frog will continue to adjust as the temperature continue to climb. Suddenly, when the frog gets the notion that it is finally time to get out of the water, he can’t. Then he dies.

    God has given us a built-in system to adjust to the stress we may have . It  is utterly amazing how we able to withstand even the challenging situations. We are resilient, we adjust, we keep it moving, we adjust again and again. Unfortunately, continuous adjusting can prove to be detrimental to our health. We have to pay attention the signs of stress mentally and physically and then intervene. Stress is known as the “silent killer.” As we adjust, what is going on silently in our bodies; what is building up on the inside?

    The symptoms of stress can vary.  We can have physical and emotional symptoms.  When we are noticing these symptoms, take notice how long you have been having them.  It is also a good idea to contact your doctor to determine if these are symptoms of a medical condition that you may already have.


    Here are some physical symptoms to be on the lookout for:

    • Headaches
    • Chest pains
    • Low energy
    • Difficulty with falling asleep or sleeping too much
    • Tense muscles
    • Changes in appetite
    • Loss of sexual desire
    • Nervousness or shaking
    • Upset stomach


    Here are some emotional symptoms to be on the lookout for:

    • Irritability
    • Easily Frustrated
    • Constant worrying or anxiety
    • Depression
    • Racing Thoughts
    • Difficulty with focus, concentration, and memory



    If we do not pay attention to the signs, we may not have the fate of the frog, but here is what may happen instead.

    • Cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure
    • Obesity
    • Clinical depression or anxiety
    • Skin problems
    • Hair loss
    • Gastrointestinal problems.
