• Too Busy to Be Healthy?

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. (3 John 1:2)

Getting started on the road to being healthy does not have to be difficult.

    1. Drink water
    2. Exercise
    3. Eat your fruits and veggies
    4. Get your rest
    5. Minimize your stressors.  Pray and meditate.
    6. Reduce your intake of sugary drinks (soda, juice, and sports drinks)
    7. Get some vitamin D (from the sun)

This is clearly an abbreviated version of the list to get you started.  Busy people usually do not think they have the time to fulfill the exhaustive list of healthy “to do’s; nor a simple list such as this (nor a lengthy article about being healthy; that being said, I am getting right to the point).   Just like anything else, it boils down to making the choice to do it because the benefits will outweigh the effort.   Which would you rather do: choose to take the time to care for yourself, or it be chosen for you (i.e. time consuming health complications that could have been avoided)?  The benefits of this choice will include:  increased energy, increased productivity, helps to stabilize moods, lowers risks of diseases, controls weight, improves longevity. improves quality of life, improves self-esteem and confidence.  Is what you are busying your life with worth more than these benefits?
