Take a hard look at your finances and why you are where you are.
Take responsibility for the things that you have control over.
Track your spending. Keeping a daily log of how you spend your money.
Focus on the important uses of your money.
Be aware of how the stress is affecting you. Are you engaging in unhealthy behaviors (i.e. spending more, drinking more, eating more, etc.)?
Be positive. Although you know where you are financially, know there are ways out of this if you take gradual steps in the right direction.
Pray for wisdom. This falls under the category of “Be care for nothing; but in every things prayer and supplications with thanksgiving let your requests be made know unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7).
